Portinscale is fortunate to have two Marinas in the village, providing excellent access to the lake. There are a variety of watersports activities on offer and the Derwentwater Launch can be boarded at Hawes End Jetty.

There is something here for everyone in this small sample of excellent local walking (or running if you are so inclined…) from simple circuits round the village, longer walks around Derwent Water, to more demanding fell walks.
